Metapan - A.Lobos 93-77

Metapan forced 22 A.Lobos turnovers. The best player for the winners was American swingman Andravious Smith (198-1995, college: Tougaloo) who scored 23 points and 9 rebounds. Cuban center Marvin Cairo (203-1991) chipped in 11 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Metapan players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Dominican Alejandro Quezada (195-1995) who recorded 29 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American swingman Ajang Aguek (201-2000, college: Lander) added 11 points and 20 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

San Salvador - Santa Ana 102-71

San Salvador dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Santa Ana's 40. San Salvador forced 26 Santa Ana turnovers and outrebounded them 43-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for Cuban forward Yoel Cubillas (204-1994) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds. Dominican guard Nargenis Ulloa (182-1997) contributed with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Five San Salvador players scored in double figures. American swingman Eddie Ishman (197-1986, college: Miles) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import center Marc Montavious (206-1990, college: Georgetown, KY) added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Santa Ana. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
